Day 6

The track of the sabbatical 2017 has begun. I've been planning, for over a year now (since the sabbatical was delayed one year), to teach myself Rhino, in order to complete the digital modeling portion of this investigation. Lately, after viewing i.materialise [https://i.materialise.com], I've been considering using a different application. Discussed this with a few folks who are more versed in this than I, and looking into meshmixer and sculptris.

I had an example of the Osage Orange scanned in November, before it began to rot. These don't last very long once they fall from the tree. Luckily, there's dozens and dozens of the trees within a short walk of the farm.

Thanks to Columbia College Chicago, I have access to Lynda.com. I began reviewing the "training" videos for Sculptris. Cute seal!
